Ada yang mengatakan Congo Bars ini umpama gabungan antara brownies dan biskut coklat chips. Teksturnya agak moist dan chewy (tidak gebu seperti kek atau rangup seperti biskut), manakala rasanya pula seperti biskut coklat chip. Amaran: Kurangkan gula ikut kesesuaian...kalau ikut resepi asal, banyak betul gulanya!! Maisya tengok ramai food blogger yang letak cuma antara 200g ~ 300g sahaja. Eggless Brownies

This is more like a chocolate cake so I added chopped almonds in the ingredients. Eggless Brownies http://chowtimes.com/2009/01/09/eggless-brownie/ Ingredients 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted to remove lumps 3/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons melted butter, olive oil or vegetable oil 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 tablespoon of white vinegar + milk to make up 1 cup) 2 teaspoons instant coffee, dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water (or one espresso shot) Instructions Preheat oven to 350F Measure dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir with a whisk or fork to combine. Measure wet ingredients in a small bowl. Stir to combine. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, all at once. Stir with a spatula or spoon, just until all the dry ingredients are moistened. Pour the batter into a greased 8″ square pan or a 11″x7″ rectangular pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or just until the top springs back when lightly touched. Cool on rack....

Hazelnut Chocolate Brownies

HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE BROWNIES Recipe by Amy Beh http://kuali.com/recipes/viewrecipe.asp?r=1468 Ingredients # 150g dark cooking chocolate, broken into pieces # 175g butter # 175g soft brown sugar # 3/4 tsp vanilla essence # 3 eggs Sifted twice: # 135g plain flour # 80g cocoa powder # 1 tsp cinnamon powder (tak letak) # 1/2 tsp salt # 100g roasted hazelnuts, very coarsely chopped (maisya guna almond) Method Line a 21cm square baking tin with lightly greased aluminium foil. Preheat oven to 180°C. Melt butter and chocolate over simmering hot water until both chocolate and butter melts into a paste. Remove from heat and add in sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves ( part ni penat dok kacau-kacau tapi tak mau larut pun gulanya ). Leave aside to cool. Add eggs, one at a time into the chocolate butter paste and add in essence, sifted flour and cocoa mixture. Stir in hazelnuts. Pour batter into prepared tin and bake for 30 minutes. first time cuba buat brownies, guna resepi ambik dari fotopages maklang. Tak pernah makan brownies sebelum ni....macamana rasa/tekstur brownies sebenarnya? Maisya buat ni dia macam garing sikit atas dia( terlebih bakar ke ? )...tapi sedap la..tak bubuh topping pun. resepi ni copy & paste dari fp maklang jer....tak pe ye maklang...
