Maids of Honor Tarts I

" If you make these dainty tarts, you must have a tea party. Tiny tart shells are lined with pastry and filled first with a dollop of raspberry jam, and then a spoonful of a buttery egg batter. The tarts are baked and dusted with confectioners ' sugar. This recipe yields a dozen."
1/4 cup raspberry jam
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (maisya guna esen vanilla)
2 teaspoons confectioners' sugar for dusting
1. Move oven rack to bottom position and preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 12 2-inch tart tins. (maisya bakar suhu 160 C, api atas & bawah)
2. Roll out pastry and cut 12 3-inch circles. Fit one pastry circle into each tart tin. Spread one teaspoon of raspberry jam into the bottom of each tart shell.
3. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together softened butter or margarine and white sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg. Add flour, baking powder, and almond extract and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Pour 1 tablespoon of batter into each tart shell.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, until risen and firm. Dust tarts with confectioners' sugar.
Adunan untuk tart shell tu ada lebih so 2 hari lepas tu buat yg ni plak, kali ni buat size besar terus. Inti tart ni sebenarnya maisya guna resepi cheesecake yg ni: Simply Sinful Cheesecake. Kiranya ni gabungan tart dan cheesecake..he..he..Maisya guna homemade cottage cheese...mmmm...rasa dia tak berapa berkrim/lemak macam guna cream cheese. Kalau campur yogurt sikit mungkin lebih sedap.
Nie resepi yg dah diubahsuai sikit dari resepi cheesecake yg asal tu. Tart shell guna resepi macam yg kat atas.
Marble Cheese Tart
100g homemade cottage cheese
1/2 can condensed milk
1 1/2 medium size egg
juice of 1 calamansi or 1 tsps. lemon juice (if available)
Preheat oven to 160 C. (api atas dan bawah)
With mixer, beat cheese and condensed milk in large bowl until smooth & fluffy.
Add eggs and calamansi or lemon juice. Mix well.
Pour into tart shell. (maisya tambah serbuk koko pada separuh adunan lepas tu marblekan dia)
Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until center is slightly jiggly but perimeter is set. (bakar kat rak bawah)
Cool 1 hour.
Chill at least 4 hours to let flavors develop. Will keep in refrigerator for two weeks
